Eden Motor Group introduces new digital imaging tech to enhance its online vehicle listings

augustus 1, 2023

  • Technology from Auto Imaging deployed across all 21 Eden sites
  • Two-year deal will help sales teams engage more effectively with prospects online and cut administration
  • Auto Imaging is part of the CitNOW Group, which has a strategy to support all facets of the customer journey

Eden Motor Group is introducing new digital imaging technology at all 21 of its retailers across the south of England to give it a competitive edge when presenting vehicle listings online. As part of a new two-year deal starting this month with Auto Imaging, Eden Motor Group will be better able to present vehicle imagery in a more consistent way, provide immediate and more sophisticated quality control of imagery, and help staff upload content more rapidly.

The Auto Imaging technology provides sales staff with a user-friendly app to take guided images of vehicles in stock and gives real-time feedback on image composition and quality when it is captured, helping users to rectify issues as they arise and reducing time-to-web for vehicle listings. Automation and efficiency are key elements of the Auto Imaging solution and once the images have been collected the app takes care of background replacement and creating a web stock video.

Auto Imaging will be working with Eden Motor Group to monitor image accuracy and identify when a dealer may need assistance, with solutions managed by newly trained staff at each site.  The Vehicle Asset Management also means Sales and Marketing managers can instantly monitor image consistency and stock online with digital content.

“Working with Auto Imaging has been very collaborative from the outset of the pilot phase,” commented James Kurd, Operations Director at Eden Motor Group. “Our sales teams were onboarded seamlessly, helped by access to training schemes and online video tutorials. Getting stock online quickly is a key driver for our used car revenues, and the new technology is already making an important difference.”

Chris Gray, Managing Director at Auto Imaging said: “Visual assets are increasingly important for selling vehicles successfully online; consumers expect to see a wide range of static and video assets with every listing. Meeting these expectations has created a significant and growing operational burden, one that often takes salespeople away from the job of selling. That’s why our technology is as much about streamlining processes as it is about optimising the breadth and quality of assets.

“We’re constantly developing our app in response to dealer feedback, and this new agreement with Eden will help ensure we can continue to help deliver positive outcomes for dealers and consumers alike.”

Auto Imaging Corona Virus Statement

Dear customer At this very difficult time Auto Imaging are adhering to all government guidelines, working from home where possible and remain fully operational. The most important thing to us is everyones health and well being. In this unique situation we find ourselves in, advertising of services may seem futile and arguably insensitive to some. We understand this, but also know that by allowing communication to continue, working closely with our partners and adapting where necessary, we can help. We are already developing variations in products that can fit into the upcoming changes in work processes retailers may face. This year will be difficult, but strong foundations and relationships will certainly help. As our commitment to our customers we will be offering free video from June 1st until September 1st to all our customers. Christopher Gray Managing Director
